HOPEFUL WAY FOUNDATION

HWF is a Non-Governmental Organization that was registered in Ghana in September, 2008 to further 12-step based recovery. The board of directors consists of two addiction professionals and Mr. and Mrs. O’Laughlin.

It works closely with healthcare professionals and others who are interested in the prevention, treatment and recovery from addiction in Ghana. HWF intention is to assist Ghanaian organizations establish, develop and take ownership of recovery programs.

As related to recovery from addiction, the HWF also strives to involve families, provide information and training, create awareness, and supports “creative approaches to personal development”.

OBJECTIVES

Founded on the 17^th September, 2008 and have over the past working to create a strong recovery movement in Ghana for the past 13 years through the following objectives.

To assist in providing housing and protective environment for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts
To provide information, awareness and training on the dangers of alcohol and drug use
To promote positive approaches to living, particularly among the youth, and families of alcoholics and drug addicts
To make use of creative approaches for personal development
